Hoshino San, owner of Yamajyu Koi Farm, is a specialist breeder of Shusui and Ochiba. He is especially proud of his own branded Jyuzo Hana Shusui. Differing from regular Shusui with uniform edges to the Hi, the Hana Shusui (meaning Flower Shusui), is identified by the extra band of red between the lateral line and the dorsal fin. In the very best examples the Hi has an attractive wavy flower-like edge. The Ochiba at Yamajyu come in three flavours, Doitsu, Gin Rin and regular scaled Ochiba. He produces approx. 800 Nisai every year.
